After waiting with bated breath on the results of the election of the new Board and Management Committee members of the International Skyrunning Federation during it's annual GA held just this July, Philsky is proud and eager to congratulate Nina Dacanay for having been elected to a seat in the ISF as Secretary General. Other new members of the committee include Evgeny Kolchanov of Russia and Fabio Menino of Italy.
ISF Vice President Lauri Van Houten has this to say about the election -- "we're proud that Nina Dacanay has accepted to be our new Secretary General and we are confident that together, we will continue making significant progress on a globlal level. No doubt it will represent an opportunity for the Philippines to be on the international skyrunning map." The Sec Gen term is from 2012 to 2014. "There is much hope that my inclusion into the board will build up more Asian participation, " Dacanay says. "The goal is to promote skyrunning globally," she adds.
Congratulations Nina! Your pinoy skyrunning family is happy and proud of you!
